Laurie Karn – Has worked as the Chef at TLC for over 10 years. She works within the Child and Adult Care Food program to ensure that each child is receiving healthy, well balanced meals and snacks on a daily basis. Ask any child at TLC and they will tell you they love Miss Laurie’s cooking! When she is not in the kitchen you can find her helping out in every classroom wherever she is needed. Outside of work Laurie is a mom of 5, grandmother of 1, she loves to cook, read, and spend time with her family and their pet dog around the campfire.
Gail Hojsan – Has worked at TLC for over 10 years. Gail is the Lead Teacher in the Infant Room. She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood and has several credits from SUNY Fredonia in Education. Gail is certified in Medication Administration Training, CPR, First Aid and AED. Gail uses her education to engage the infants in educational and skill building games and activities that allow the infants to explore and grow as they develop. Gail is a mom and grandmother of 4 who has a passion for camping and loves fiber arts, hiking and canoeing.
Justine Holben – Her passion for working with children brought her to TLC after she sold the business she owned for 24 years. Justine has an Associate Degree in Medical Science and she obtained a license in Radiology in NY and Pennsylvania. Justine is certified in Medication Administration Training, CPR, First Aid and AED. In the classroom, Justine loves to play with and bond with the infants, making them smile and laugh. For several years Justine and her husband have been active volunteers with the Shriners Organization. She enjoys cooking, knitting, hosting parties and traveling.
Diane Reahr – Diane has the longest track record at TLC – 18 years! During that time Diane has worked in every classroom and is always ready to help out wherever she is needed. Diane has lived in Hamburg her entire life and enjoys walking her dog and making art projects.
Madelyn Howie – Madelyn joined TLC in 2015 and has recently become the lead teacher in the Toddler room. Madelyn graduated from Hamburg High School and studied Early Childhood at the Potter Road Campus while there. Outside of work Madelyn used to be a Cheerleader and played Rugby. CPR Certifed
Carolyn Kellerman- Recently joined the TLC family with experience as a daycare worker. Carolyn graduated from North Collins High School and is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science form Hilbert College. In her free time Carolyn enjoys painting and photography.
Julia Reesor - The newest member of the TLC family, Julia has been working in childcare for the past 2 years. Julia is enrolled at Buffalo State College, majoring in History and Social Studies Education. She is the oldest of 4 children. In her free time Julia enjoys going on walks/adventures with her friends; trying to find new places to learn about and explore. Also....Julia loves to smile! CPR Certified
Emily Adams – Emily is a former TLC student herself! Her wonderful experiences in our child care center brought her back to TLC after she graduated high school. Emily just received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Erie Community College. She is now enrolled at Buffalo State College where she is continuing her studies in Early Childhood. In the classroom Emily’s passion for teaching shines through as she watches the children learn and grow! Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, sings with her church’s Praise Band and teaches Sunday School.
Debbie O’Brien – Began working at TLC in the Infant Room in 1997. The following year she took on the role of Lead Teacher in the 4 year old classroom. Debbie possesses an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and serves as the Director-in-Charge when the Director is unavailable. Debbie structures her program around preparing her 4 year old students for kindergarten while allowing them the chance to explore and grow in their classroom. Debbie has 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren and 1 grand-dog-ter. When she is not at work you can find Debbie on the golf course or visiting the Finger Lakes.
Diane Strong – Diane has been at TLC for over 4 years now.. She has an Associate Degree in Office Technology. Diane is certified in Medication Administration Training, CPR, First Aid and AED. Diane works at TLC part time and is also employed as a cafeteria monitor at a primary school in Eden. Around TLC she is known as Miss “D.” Diane keeps busy with her 2 teenage children and loves to read and bake in her spare time.
Michelle Noack - Recently joined the TLC family after earning a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Niagara University. Michelle is the Lead Teacher in the 3 year old class. Michelle also possesses an Associate Degree in Human Sciences from Erie Community College. Michelle has spent years studying American Sign Language (ASL) and plans to pursue an ASL/Deaf Studies Masters Degree. Michelle loves to support her alma mater the Purple Eagles! She is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys kayaking, hiking and sailing! CPR Certified
Margaret O'Brian- Margaret and her husband Mark live in the Village of Hamburg. They have two children; Catherine, who studies at WVU, and Jin, who attends Hamburg Middle School. Margaret is an avid gardener and co-founder of "Garden in the Courtyard" at Charlotte Avenue School. She also founded and coordinated the After School Gardening Club for Charlotte Avenue School creating outdoor garden spaces for the last 5 years. Margaret volunteers for Hospice in their gardens for their bouquet sale, Mead Delivery, fundraising, and Grace Guest House. She was given the honor of Master Gardener in 2012. Margaret holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration. CPR Certified
Sarah Karn - Sarah is our lead teacher in the School Age Room. Born and raised in Western New York, Sarah currently resides in the Boston Hills. She loves being outdoors and going on adventures. Sarah has two cats names Theo and Melvin. Her dream is to one day own her own farm. She studied English for about four years and has experience in the fields of dentistry and culinary. However, Sarah's true passion is working with children and feels lucky to spend time with them every day at work!
Mary Ann Amadori – After a career as a stay-at-home mom to 3 sons for 17 years, Mary Ann joined TLC 2 years ago. She is certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. Mary Ann works in each of the classrooms as needed but can be found primarily in the School Age Room. Her class loves to share stories from their day with her and she is always available to play a game or help with homework. After work Mary Ann spends most of her time with her family; cooking, baking and walking the family dog. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and doing crafts and puzzles.
